F7 Studios Script Evaluation Criteria
Purpose
To ensure we greenlight only the highest-quality projects, F7 Studios uses a detailed script evaluation system. Scripts are evaluated based on the following criteria, with each category rated on a scale. A script must attain an average score 75 or higher out of 100 with 3 reviewers, to be tentatively approved for greenlighting.

1. Story and Concept (15 Points)

Originality: Is the concept fresh, unique, or presented in an innovative way? (5 Points)

Engagement: Does the story grab the reader’s attention and maintain interest throughout? (5 Points)

Clarity: Is the narrative clear, cohesive, and easy to follow? (5 Points)
2. Characters (15 Points)

Development: Are the characters well-developed, with clear motivations and arcs? (5 Points)

Relatability: Can the audience connect with the characters emotionally? (5 Points)

Diversity and Representation: Does the script feature diverse and inclusive representation in a meaningful way? (5 Points)
3. Dialogue (10 Points)

Authenticity: Does the dialogue feel natural and believable? (5 Points)

Purpose: Does the dialogue serve the story, reveal character, or advance the plot? (5 Points)
4. Structure and Pacing (15 Points)

Structure: Does the script adhere to a coherent structure (e.g., three-act, non-linear)? (5 Points)

Pacing: Does the story flow well, without dragging or rushing through key moments? (5 Points)

Cliffhangers and Payoffs: Are major story beats resolved satisfactorily or left effectively open-ended? (5 Points)
5. Marketability (15 Points)

7. Visual Potential (10 Points)

Cinematic Quality: Does the script offer opportunities for compelling visuals and creative direction? (5 Points)

Creativity in Scene Descriptions: Do the scene descriptions inspire dynamic and visually engaging filmmaking? (5 Points)
8. Execution Feasibility (10 Points)

Budget Alignment: Does the scope of the script align with a realistic production budget? (5 Points)

Production Challenges: Are potential challenges, such as special effects or complex locations, manageable? (5 Points)
Scoring and Approval

Each script will be rated in all eight categories by a panel of reviewers at F7 Studios.

Scores will be totaled, with a maximum possible score of 100. A script must score 75 or higher to be tentatively approved for greenlighting.

Scripts scoring below 75 will be returned to the filmmaker with detailed feedback. F7 Studios will not accept resubmissions of returned scripts within 45 days of return notification.
